Wondering what is email migration? It’s the process of transferring your emails from one provider to another, and with Spacemail, it’s simple.

Create the mailbox you want to migrate to and log in.
Go to Settings, then find Email Migration, and click Migrate to Spacemail.
Fill in the details of your source email account, and make sure IMAP is enabled on your source account.
Type the password of the Spacemail account you’re logged in to, and select Migrate emails.

You will be able to check the status of your email domain migration in the Migration tool window.

Absolutely! All the features available on paid plans are also included during the trial period. So whether it’s business email migration or email hosting migration, you can take full advantage of our migration tool and migrate to Spacemail.

Our migration tool transfers emails via the IMAP protocol. This means you can migrate email from any provider that supports IMAP. No backup files are needed for migration.

The length of time may vary depending on the size of the mailbox, your internet speed, and server performance.

If you transfer your domain to Spaceship, you can get Spacemail Pro Plan free for a whole year. You'll get an email with the Spacemail promo code once your domain has transferred successfully.

Spacemail includes a calendar, but calendar import isn’t available yet. There’s also no support for an address book, so contacts can’t be migrated.

Our migration tool doesn’t currently allow you to import emails using a backup. However, if you have an offline backup already, you could add your mailbox to a third-party client (like Gmail or Thunderbird) using IMAP/SMTP, and import the backup there. This will then sync with your Spacemail mailbox.
