An Alias host record works like a smart shortcut for your domain. It lets you point your domain (or subdomain) to another hostname, and our system automatically finds the right IP address. Unlike a regular CNAME, an Alias record can be used for the main domain (root domain), not just subdomains.
To set up ALIAS record in Spaceship:
Go to Advanced DNS Manager.
Select the domain you’d like a host record on.
Navigate to DNS records -> Custom records.
Choose a CNAME record from the suggested list.
Insert @ to the Host and fill in the Value field.
Select Add button.
Your CNAME record will resolve as ALIAS one.
