How to create filter rules

Creating filter rules in your Spacemail settings helps you manage your inbox more efficiently by automatically organizing future incoming emails based on specific criteria. These rules can sort emails into designated folders based on the From, To, CC, Subject, and Body criteria. This is important because it helps to reduce clutter and ensures that important emails are never missed while keeping unwanted or low-priority messages out of the way.

To create a filter rule, you will need to do the following:

  1. Log in to your Spacemail mailbox using your credentials

  2. Click on the Settings in the upper right corner

  3. Locate the Filters widget and click on Manage filters

  4. Click on Create a new filter on the right in the new window

  5. Set up necessary filter rules by using available Conditions and Actions options
    For example, it’s possible to create a filter rule that would make all the incoming emails that contain the word ‘promo’ in the subject line file to a separate folder (make sure to create it first).

  6. Remember to save the changes
